About

A planner at heart, a parks person for life.

I got engaged in Zion at the top of Angel's Landing, and the national parks have been a part of our lives every year since, as my husband and I keep finding new areas to explore. But my love of planning trips goes back further than that. In 2014 I planned and hiked a three-week solo backpacking adventure through New Zealand; a few years later, a friend and I mapped out a multi-stop route through the desert Southwest. Somewhere in all of it, I realized I loved the planning—the permits, the timing, the lodges that book a year out, the small decisions and details that add up to a good day—almost as much as the trips themselves.

Now I do it for other people, too. There's a particular kind of joy in getting away somewhere beautiful, and I want to help you experience that.

Tamarack Travel Design is built around national parks and the outdoors, because that's what I know best and love most. But I plan the family trips, the resort weeks, and the getaways in between with the same care. What I'm actually good at isn't tied to any one place: it's noticing the things you wouldn't think to ask about.

I know when the splurge on an in-park lodge is worth it and when a well-chosen place in a gateway town is the smarter call. Either way, the good options book up far earlier than people expect.

Whether you already know exactly which bucket-list hike you want to accomplish, or you just know you want to go somewhere and be taken care of, I'd love to hear about it.
